  Don't answer his question. He just wants an easy target and if you give him a list, he gets to choose which, if any, he addresses.

  Make him explain why he is still a member when .... and then pick one question at a time and don't let him change the subject. Make him do the talking, the explaining, the reasoning. You shut up except to use questions to keep him honest and on topic. You can't reason his way out of the cult for him. He has to do it. Take control of the conversations and make him confront the issues he usually manages to avoid.

  i just caught this in an upcoming study article which will be "studied" in the congregations the week of 11/18-24/13:.

  he and his wife were elated when their eldest daughter, age ten, told them that she loved her parents, loved the brothers and sisters, and loved jehovah very much.

  she said that she wanted to dedicate her life to jehovah and get baptized.

  these are all dead and buried.. 2. this group was on hand in 1914, and they readily discerned the sign of christs presence in that year.

  those who made up this group were not merely alive in 1914, but they were spirit-anointed as sons of god in or before that year.

  It does not mean that lives overlapped. Your son is not a contemporary of your grandfather even if you do have a photo of them together. The WT uses the word illegitimately and the passage they are misusing doesn't use it at all.

  A mistake in fading 4 months ago is coming back to haunt me... HELP!!

  so today, two elders from a congregation i was in two years ago came by the house.

  they said they wanted to talk to me about things that they have heard, and that they want to talk to me very quickly, as soon as possible.

  perhaps before this week ends.. i don't know what to do!!

  so i got in college recently (petroleum engineering), which is 150+ miles away from my home town.

  i started to go to the meetings once in a while to please my parents because i hate lieing to them, although i did several times regarding meetings.. last time an elder - special pioneer - came to me at the hall and asked me if i had already thought about transfering my 'files' aka.

  publisher card to that congregation.

  Go to a cong that is a bit out of your way a few times, get them transfered there, then never go back.

  Your mother needs to get the message that this mess is her doing and she needs to fix it.

  She raised you in a doomsday church that already had a string of prophetic failures before you were even born, (name one that occured in her lifetime, that she would have had to ignore, excuse, whatever). Jehovah had steadfastly refused to do anything the WT promised on his behalf before you were born and she still gambled on them, a high stakes gambol that if Jehovah let them down as usual could easily result in her kids leaving the church, resulting in instructions from her church leaders to shun them if they got DF/DA.

  It was her choice to raise you in the church, her choice to advise you to get baptised even though Jehovah had already clearly demonstrated he didn't support the WT's promises, and now it is her choice whether, or not, to attempt to call the dogs off and try to influence them to leave well enough alone ..... and if they do announce you as DF/DA it will be her choice whether, or not, she lets her church leaders tell her to destroy her relationship with you.
